Work with what you have. My favorite gift wrap motto. I recently purchased part of my friend's birthday gift at Coach. They gave me pretty boxes and even the shopping bag was cute. I figured I could use these as my base for the wrapping and just add a few extras to make it special. I used red ribbon on the boxes and red "grass" instead of tissue.

I have been wanting to do a pin dot card for awhile now. Because the pattern on the bag was so hectic, I thought the simplicity of the pin dot art would be a perfect compliment. To start, I taped the pattern over my card. Next, I used a rubber glove to get a better grip on the needle and started punching holes with my pattern as my guide. The last step was to pull the pattern carefully from the card. If you have never done this before, it would be a good idea to practice punching the holes on a few test pieces of paper to see what works best for you.
For the one gift that wasn't from Coach, I used a patterned gift wrap in the same color family to add some interest. I then clipped the card to the front of the bag and added a bow so that the bag didn't simply look like it was what I walked out of the store with.
