she's crafty

Leave it to me to make fall a bit more shiny.

Fall in suburbia has been gorgeous!  These are two of my favorite photos from the season and while neither has the vibrant fall leaves, the rich saturated hues of blue and greens are just as inspiring.

I love all of the crisp fall leaves and their vibrant colors.  The only way to make them a bit more special?  Add some glitter!  I started with a discounted bunch of leaves from Michaels and ended up pulling apart the stems.
Next I sprayed some sealant on the leaves to create a sticky surface that wouldn't weigh down the leaves.  Finally, I went to town with brown, orange, and red glitter!
My supervisor kept a close eye on things to make sure I didn't get carried away with the glitter.
The leaves make a cute arrangement in a recycled jar, however, my friend actually has a unique vase that is made up of a few small vases, so I'm going to send this bit of fall sparkle her way!
