Today's retro kitchen mix is inspired by my mad men marathon today. While I don't know if I would be bold enough to do this in my own home, there are certainly elements I am loving!
Naturally, the biggest trend seems to be cherry red and Tiffany blue. It is easy to find kitchen elements in these colors and therefore easy to build and decorate a retro kitchen yourself in either one of these color schemes.
Even though blue and red seem to be the most popular, any bright color works well. They play off a black and white tile nicely and really pop with white walls and other white elements in the room. It may take a bit more searching to find the these different colored elements, but I think the results are definitely worth it!
My favorite scheme, however, is the pink. It seems to be a bit trickier because it can end up looking like the kitchen fell right out of a sweet gingerbread house if you go too far. Who doesn't want a pink fridge enough to make this color scheme work though?
